Our Staff

Shannon Wiegert began his career in the assisted living industry in 2001 at one of our sister buildings in Brandon, Florida. At the time he owned his own business and began working in the kitchen as a dietary consultant and chef. It took no time at all for him to fall in love with the job and environment of working with the elderly. From there, he moved on to become the Executive Chef of an assisted living community in Sun City Florida where he furthered his education and training while working hands-on in the environment he enjoyed so much. He completed his required training to become an approved assisted living administrator through the state of Florida in 2004.

In 2005 he became the Executive Director here at Nature Coast Lodge where he continues to further his career and knowledge of working with the elderly. He feels very lucky to be a part of a community where each day is filled with new stories, adventures and memories from the residents. To Shannon, the residents and staff of the Lodge are all like members of one big family – one that he is proud to be a part of!
